Al Jazeera - Sunday and Tuesday

You MUST have emailed me to come on Sunday. You can email me until Monday morning to come on Tuesday.

You need to meet at 6.30pm at the Oxford Union (just past the Three Goats Head on St Michael's Street, off Cornmarket Street). You MUST have the parental consent form or they won't let you in (typed in below in case you don't have one).

Paid Work Experience at Pret in Oxford - One week in July


Join ‘Team Pret’ during our Big Experience Week

Who
This your chance to gain a week’s paid work experience in one of Pret’s UK shops. If you are aged
16-18 with a passion for good food, we’ll help you to grow, build your confidence and gain
experience in a British business that is now in eight countries globally, employing over 10,000
people. Most importantly, you’ll spend the week being part of the Pret family where we have fun
and look after each other.

What
• You’ll get paid well (the same rate as our Team Members), £8.00 - £8.25 per hour depending
on your location.
• You’ll also get free food and drink while you work.
• Your parents / guardians can come and see you hard at work, and have a free lunch on us too.
• You’ll also receive a certificate of completion to celebrate the end of your week, along with
500 other participating students!

Drama Opportunity for Year 12


THE CAMBRIDGE FOOTLIGHTS Year 12 workshop- Places granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

This July Oxford Festival of the Arts are delighted to be hosting a FREE workshop with The Cambridge Footlights for local Year 12 pupils. The workshop will be run by members of the cast and crew of the famous Footlights Tour. Pupils will gain the tools they need to write their own comedy sketches, and develop their understanding of character and comedic narrative. For those interested, Footlights will also be able to answer any questions pupils may have about comedy and theatre beyond school, and theatre and comedy provisions as motivations for applying to Oxbridge.

Al Jazeera's Head to Head recordings

We have been invited again to bring students for the audience of the recording of Al Jazeera's Head to Head debate programme, recorded at the Oxford Union. The event is free but you need to sign up through me and you will need signed parental permission if you are under 18.

You need to let me know at least 10 days in advance if you intent to go (and you must show up - or they'll have empty seats in the recording and stop inviting us!!)

You will need to let me know by Friday if you want to come on 10th June. You will meet us there on St Michael's street (off Cornmarket) at 6.30pm. Email me for more info on the topics.
